Spencer is a barrister at Pump Court Chambers. He provides contentious and non-contentious advice and representation in all areas of employment law. Spencer has considerable experience in discrimination cases including cases involving the interpretation and implementation of EC law. In March 2009 Oxford University Press published a book that Spencer wrote with fellow barrister Richard Oulton, on Disability Discrimination in Employment (click here). Â
In the Civil Courts Spencer has appeared in harassment and stress at work claims, health and safety claims, and actions against directors and senior employees for breach of contract and breach of fidudicary duty.
Spencer is also a member of chambers' Judicial Review team. He has particular expertise in the judicial review of disciplinary proceedings and in judicial review cases based on disability discrimination.
